Activewear News: OV’s New CEO

Ty Haney Returns as CEO of Outdoor Voices

Outdoor Voices founder Ty Haney is back at the helm of the brand she launched in 2013, known for its joyful “Doing Things” ethos. Haney stepped down in 2020 after clashes with investors, and without her creative vision, the brand struggled—closing stores, losing cultural momentum, and nearly folding.

After Consortium Brand Partners acquired Outdoor Voices in 2024, Haney quietly began working with the team before officially rejoining in July 2025 as founder, partner, and co-owner. Her return marks a fresh chapter for the activewear label, one focused on blending the best of OV’s original DNA with a bold, modern update.

The relaunch includes upgraded classics like the beloved Energy Dress, new colorways, elevated silhouettes, and a confident new logo. Haney is also bringing in her community platform, Try Your Best (TYB), to connect directly with fans, reward loyalty, and reignite the brand’s tight-knit community.

The first drop of Outdoor Voices 2.0 launches August 5, 2025, signaling a clean slate and a return to authenticity. For longtime fans and new customers alike, Haney’s comeback could be the spark that reestablishes OV as a leader in lifestyle-activewear—rooted in movement, fun, and the original spirit that made it a cult favorite.

We are so excited to try these new OV styles and eventually carry them in store! In the meantime, check out some of the original Outdoor Voices pieces in-store and on our Instagram.
