How To Get The Most $$ For Your Shoes!

When we say "make sure to wash all of our items before selling," we also mean your shoes and sneakers! Sneakers can sometimes be the smelliest activewear we own because we wash them the least, so on top of wiping all the dirt off the outside, make sure you are cleaning the inside too!

Here are a few of our favorite tricks for cleaning & (most importantly) deodorizing those shoes and sneakers:

Baking Soda: Sprinkle a generous amount of baking soda inside your shoes and let it sit for several hours or overnight. Baking soda will absorb the odor and moisture, leaving your shoes smelling fresh.

Vinegar: Mix equal parts of white vinegar and water, and then use a cloth to wipe down the inside of your shoes. Vinegar will neutralize the odor and kill the bacteria that cause it. Let the shoes air dry completely before wearing them again.

Tea Bags: Put a couple of dry tea bags (such as black tea or green tea) inside your shoes and leave them overnight. The tea bags will absorb the moisture and odor, leaving your shoes smelling fresh.

Lemon or Orange Peels: Put some lemon or orange peels inside your shoes and leave them overnight. The citrus scent will help to neutralize the odor.

Essential Oils: Put a few drops of your favorite essential oil on a cotton ball and place it inside your shoes. Lavender, peppermint, and tea tree oil are good choices as they have natural antimicrobial properties and a pleasant scent.
